JERUSALEM, Israeli occupation forces last night and today detained 25 Palestinian civilians in occupied Jerusalem and another eight in the Palestinian land occupied since 1948, according to local sources.
Israeli police raided several neighborhoods in occupied Jerusalem, assaulted civilians and detained 25 Palestinians after raiding their homes.
Meanwhile, Israeli police detained eight Palestinians, mostly minors, in the towns of Tayibe and Qalansawe.
The latest arrests come against the backdrop of the ongoing uprising against the Israeli occupation across all of the occupied Palestinian territories, including the Arab-majority cities and towns in 1948-occupied Palestine, that erupted in response to the Israeli aggression on Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem and against the Gaza Strip.
