RAMALLAH, Registered exports and imports in goods increased in June 2021 compared to the previous month, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
PCBS said in a press statement that exports increased in June 2021 by 21% compared to May 2021. It also increased by 27% compared to June 2020 and reached USD 124.8 Million.
It added that exports to Israel increased in June 2021 by 22% compared to May 2021 and it represented 92% of total exports in June 2021.
At the same time, exports to other countries increased by 8% during the same period compared to May 2021.
As for the imports in Goods, they increased in June 2021 by 18% compared to May 2021. They also increased by 39% compared to June 2020 and reached USD 544.5 Million.
Imports from Israel increased by 9% in June 2021 compared to May 2021 and it represented 50% of total imports in June 2021.
At the same time, imports from other countries increased by 28% compared to May 2021.
The trade balance, which represents the difference between exports and imports, showed an increase in trade deficit by 17% in June 2021 compared to May 2021. It also increased by 42% compared to June 2020 and reached USD 419.7 Million.
