Teenager detained in Hebron for alleged knife possession

HEBRON,- Israeli forces Tuesday detained a Palestinian teenager at a checkpoint near Hebron’s Ibrahimi mosque for alleged knife possession, according to witnesses.

They said soldiers manning a checkpoint outside the mosque stopped the teenager, identified as Badwan Abu Mayyala, 17, and arrested after they allegedly found a knife in her possession.

The army claimed Abu Mayyala was planning to attack soldiers.
