After detaining mother of alleged Jerusalem attacker, Israeli police round up-remaining family members

JERUSALEM, Thursday, After detaining early Thursday Ulfat Abu Jamal, mother of Abdul Rahman who allegedly stabbed two Israeli policemen in occupied East Jerusalem on Wednesday night, Israel police returned to the Abu Jamal house in Jabal al-Mukabber neighborhood in East Jerusalem and detained his father, two brothers and sister, according to local sources.

Residents described the police action during the raid at the Abu Jamal house as barbaric. They said they were screaming and threatening to demolish the house before they detained the entire family members.

They also ordered a cousin of Abdul Rahman to appear at the police station in Jerusalem for interrogation.

Police also attempted to raid Jabal al-Mukabber high school, where the alleged attacker was going to school.
