Cabinet Condemns the Continuing Israeli Aggression on the Gaza Strip

Doha, November 21 (QNA) – HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani on Wednesday chaired the regular cabinet meeting held at the Emiri Diwan premises .
After the meeting, HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmad bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud gave the following statement:
At the outset of the meeting, the cabinet condemned the continuing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the killing of innocents, bloodshed, intimidation of the Gazans, and the destruction of homes and public and private properties in flagrant violation of international law, international resolutions, and humanity charters, norms and values, in addition to the serious threat it poses to regional security and stability.
The cabinet stressed that the U.N. Security Council is fully responsible, and it is required now more than ever before to take an urgent, clear and decisive stance to stop the aggression, ensure it does not recur, provide the necessary protection for the Palestinian people, and force Israel to lift the unjust siege on the Gaza Strip and create the appropriate atmosphere for the resumption of the peace process towards bringing about a just, lasting and comprehensive peace so as to realize the full legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, especially the right to establish their independent state with Al-Quds ( Jerusalem) as its capital.
The cabinet called on the international community to rush to provide urgent humanitarian aid to residents of the Gaza Strip in order to alleviate the consequences of the Israeli aggression and sympathize with them in these difficult circumstances.
Then the cabinet considered topics tabled on its agenda as follows:
First: Approving the two following draft laws and referring them to the advisory council.
1-A draft law organsing the kindergartens.
2-A draft law exempting the Qatar’s RAIL Company of some rules related to expropriation and regulating their rights on some of the state properties.
Second: The cabinet reviewed the following items and took the relevant decisions:
1-A memo of HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs concerning the third regular report of the Standing Committee of the Convention on the Law of the Sea.
2-Two memos of the Ministry of Labour concerning the first report of the National Committee for Occupational Safety and Health.
3-A letter of HE the Minister of Economy and Finance concerning the final estimate budget for hosting the World Social Forum, in Nov.2013.
4- A letter of HE the Business and Trade concerning a report on Qatar’s participation in Expo Youssou International Gallery (Korea 2012).
5-A letter of HE the Minister of Business and Trade on a report of the meetings of the World Trade Organization (Wto) General Council (Geneva 2012).

Third: Taking the necessary measures for endorsing the statute of the GCC Emergency Management Centre.
Fourth: Approving a draft bilateral agreement on mutual administrative assistance on ideal reinforcement of customs and combating customs violation law between the governments of Qatar and Jordan.
