Completion of Japan-funded project for providing feedstuff production machines in Gaza

GAZA, Monday, Takeshi Okubo, Ambassador for the Palestinian Affairs, visited al-Ahlyia Association for the Development of Palm and Dates in Der al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, to celebrate the completion of a Japan-funded project for providing feedstuff production machines in Gaza.

The grant of $82,200 was extended to al-Ahlyia Association for the Development of Palm and Dates to install the feedstuff production machines in the fodder production sector of al-Ahlyia Association.

The project aims to use the equipment to provide cheap fodder stably to the livestock breeders in Deir al-Balah and surrounding areas. The most direct beneficiaries from the project are 700 breeder’s households.

In his speech, Okubo emphasized Japan’s firm commitment of supporting Palestinian people from human security perspective as well as the importance of implementing social and economic development projects needed for Palestinian communities.
