Confrontations erupt after Israeli soldiers break into Qalandia refugee camp

RAMALLAH, Palestinian youths today confronted Israeli soldiers who broke into Qalandia refugee camp, according to local sources.

The soldiers fired tear gas and rubber-coated metal bullets at the Palestinians causing at least 50 injuries, most of them suffocation cases and seven hit by rubber bullets, all treated at the location, according to the Red Crescent.

One person, a father of a camp resident killed by the soldiers in 2014, was detained by the army, said the sources.
