COVID-19 claims the lives of 14 people in Palestine as 491 new cases were recorded in 24 hours

RAMALLAH, COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 13 people in Palestine in the last 24 hours as 491 new cases were recorded, most of them in the Gaza Strip, according to the health minister’s daily report on coronavirus.

Health Minister Mai Alkaila said nine of the deaths and 398 of the new cases were recorded in the Gaza Strip, as 1643 patients have recovered from the disease.

In the West Bank, four people died, 93 new cases were recorded, and 362 patients have recovered.

Alkaila said 87 patients remain in intensive care units, among them 25 are on respirators.

A total of 228,304 people have been vaccinated against the disease in the West Bank and 38,168 people in the Gaza Strip.
