DOHA, FIFA has named Wessam Qutob, a Palestinian refugee and a social media influencer, as the official World Cup 2022 ambassador in Qatar.

Qutob took to his social media pages to post a video in which he said: “from a refugee with no place in the world, to the World Cup ambassador.”

With millions of followers on his social media platforms such as Instagram, Youtube, and TikTok, Qutob posts comic clips and his hip-hop songs.

The FIFA 2022 World Cup kicked off yesterday in Qatar; held for the first time in the Middle East and the Arab world.
