First conference of UN Committee on Exercise of Inalienable Rights of Palestinian People kicks off in Dakar

The first conference of the United Nations Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People was inaugurated at the headquarters of the Senegalese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the capital, Dakar, at the invitation of the Senegalese President and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Committee, the Ambassador of Senegal to the United Nations, Cheikh Niang, accompanied by the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, Ambassador Riyad Mansour, the ambassadors of Indonesia, Cuba, and Namibia to the United Nations and their secretariats at the Palestine division in the United Nations.

The Permanent Representative of Palestine to the UN addressed the Palestinian activity, particularly in the upcoming year, the Nakba (Catastrophe) events in the upcoming May, and the appeal to the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

Mansour expressed thanks on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian people to the Senegalese president, government, and people for their support to the Palestinian people.

During the conference, speeches were delivered by the representative of the Senegalese Foreign Minister and the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, the Ambassador of Cameroon, and Ambassador Cheikh Niang, during which they affirmed their support for the Palestinian people in their quest for the full attainment of their rights.
