RAMALLAH, France expressed its shock yesterday at the attack on the funeral procession of slain journalist Shireen Abu Akleh last Friday in occupied Jerusalem.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said in a tweet: “Shocked and deeply appalled by the unacceptable acts of violence that prevented a peaceful and dignified funeral procession of Shireen Abu Akleh.”

Of note, 33 civilians were injured and 15 others were arrested last Friday as Israeli occupation forces attacked the funeral procession of martyr Shireen Abu Akleh.
