Doha, October 06 (QNA) – HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), and HRH Princess Maxima of the Netherlands, have visited Oranje Fonds in Amsterdam, as part of HH’s visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
During the visit, HH Sheikha Moza met with a number of representatives from the organization, who presented to Her Highness the organization’s role in social care as well as the educational programs available to different groups specifically youth. The programs aim to integrate youth with their environment, enhancing their role as active individuals in society.
Afterwards, HH Sheikha Moza met with youth who have benefitted from the foundation’s support in their educational and professional lives.
Discussions during the meeting addressed means of future cooperation between Oranje Fonds and Qatar Foundation in this field.
It is worth to mention that the Oranje Fonds was founded in 2002 under the patronage of HRH Princess Maxima of the Netherlands. It supports social cohesion and social integration projects such as small-scale community initiatives and mentoring for young people. Annually, the foundation invests around 32 million euros on nearly 7000 social initiatives in the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom. (QNA)
