Abu Dhabi: UAE Minister of Economy Sultan Saeed Al Mansouri said his talks with senior Irish ministers had centred on mechanisms to push economic cooperation, and trade and investment exchange forward.
Al Mansouri, who lead a high level business delegation to Ireland, said his trip to Dublin had met most of its objectives to explore venues of cooperation and opportunities for sectors which are prioritized by the UAE’s economy. He underscored the tapping Ireland’s experience in supporting small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) which meets the highest standards of innovation and is based on enhancing partnership between the business community and academic institutions.
In a press statement at the end of his visit to Ireland, Al Mansouri said he discussed ways of enhancing the UAE’s capabilities in various spheres such as small and medium size enterprises (SMEs), exchanging expertise, investment opportunities, innovation and scientific research, intellectual property to boost its transformation into a knowledge-based economy.
The UAE minister held a series of meetings with Irish ministers of finance, transport, tourism, communications, energy and natural resources, energy, agriculture, food and the marine in addition to Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Ireland, and top MPs.
He hailed the efforts made by the Irish government through Enterprise Ireland, the organisation responsible for the development and growth of Irish enterprises in world markets. Enterprise Ireland works in partnership with Irish enterprises to help them start, grow, innovate and win export sales on global markets.
