Israeli army confiscates residential tent south of Hebron

HEBRON, Israeli forces Tuesday confiscated a Palestinian-owned residential tent in Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron, in the southern West Bank, said a local activist.

Coordinator of the anti-wall, anti-settlements committee in southern Hebron, Rateb al-Jabour, told WAFA Israeli soldiers stormed Khirbet al-Halawa, a locale in Masafer Yatta and confiscated a residential tent belonging to Abu Eram family.

The activist denounced the Israeli authorities ongoing violations against Palestinians and their properties, which he stressed are aimed at forcing the Palestinian locals to leave their rightful land.

Masafer Yatta is classified as Area C, which is under full Israeli military control. Area C makes up around 60 percent of the area of the occupied West Bank, which Israel plans to annex after expelling its Palestinian population.
