Israeli army razes private land east of Yatta

HEBRON Israeli army forces Thursday razed tens of dunums owned by a Palestinian family east of Yatta, to the south of the West Bank.

Rateb Jabour, coordinator of the Anti-Settlement Commission in Hebron, told WAFA the targeted land is adjacent to the settlement of Carmel from the east and south.

The settlement was illegally constructed in 1980 on land that belongs to Umm al-Kheir Locale, which is home to Abu Hamid family.

Jabour said the intervention of Palestinian and international parties is essential to put an end to the expanding settlement construction in the West Bank, which aims to empty and confiscate Palestinians’ land.
