BETHLEHEM, Israeli forces today evening closed the western entrance to the village of Husan, west of Bethlehem, in the southern occupied West Bank, according to a security source.
Sources told WAFA that Israeli forces closed the metal gate set up at the western entrance of the village of Husan and prevented residents from entering or leaving.
Forces also set up a flying checkpoint in Aqabat Hasna area, which leads to several communities west of Bethlehem. Forces stopped Palestinian registered vehicles, searching them and checking passengers’ identity cards.
B’Tselem, Israeli Human Rights Group B’Tselem, said the Israeli restrictions impact trade, economy, and ability to access medical services and maintain family and social ties and education.
“Restricting movement is one of the main tools that Israel employs to enforce its regime of occupation over the Palestinian population in the Occupied Territories,” said B’Tselem.
