Israeli forces today confiscated a Palestinian-owned excavator working on the rehabilitation of land to the south of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank, according to Fouad al-Amour, a local activist.

He said Israeli forces seized an excavator owned by a Palestinian resident while he was working on rehabilitating land belonging to a local resident in Birin area to the south of Hebron, under the pretext the land was located in area C of the West Bank, which makes up more than 60 percent of the area of the West Bank and which is under full Israeli military control.

Israeli occupation forces and settlers have been deliberately attempting to tighten the noose around the Palestinian residents in Birin area with the aim of forcing them to leave for the benefit of expanding a nearby illegal settlement.
