Israeli forces issue halt on construction order near Hebron

HEBRON, Israeli forces Sunday issued a halt on construction order against a Palestinian house to the east of Yatta, south of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, local sources said.

Rateb al-Jabour, popular resistence activist, said that the Israeli soldiers forced Mahmoud al-Amour to halt the construction on his house and other strucutres on an area of more than 180 square meters, under the pretext of building without a permit in the classified area (C).

Area C, which constitutes about 60 percent of the West Bank, is under full Israeli security and civilian control. The Palestinians and the international community consider the area as the main land reserve for the future Palestinian state.
