Israeli forces severally beat up Palestinian, destroy his car at Atara checkpoint

JERUSALEM, Monday, Israeli forces severally beat up a Palestinian and detained him for a long period of time at Atara Israeli military checkpoint, north of Ramallah, the occupied West Bank, before letting him pass.

The Palestinian, who was identified as Hanthala al-Shaikh from Jerusalem’s Beit Iksa village, told WAFA Israeli forces stationed at Atara checkpint stopped his car and confiscated his Identity card before severally beating him up and destroying his car, under the pretext of searching for ‘weapons’.

The driver sustained cuts and bruises throughout his body.
