Israeli occupation forces arrested two Palestinians today as they approached the border area east of the city of Khan Yunis in the south of the Gaza Strip, said WAFA correspondent.
He said Israeli soldiers stationed along the perimeter fence east of Khan Yunis arrested two Palestinians and moved them to an unknown destination. The two were not yet identified.
Meantime, Palestinian farmers cultivating their lands adjacent to the northeastern border of the Gaza Strip came under Israeli gunfire today forcing them to leave their work areas for a safe haven, according to local sources.
WAFA correspondent said Israeli soldiers stationed at the border east of Beit Hanoun town, north of the Gaza Strip, opened gunfire and fired tear gas canisters at farmers working in their lands, forcing them to leave the area.
No one was reported injured in the shooting attack.
Israeli occupation forces restrict the movement of Palestinians along Gaza’s border area and sometimes shoot or arrest any Palestinian approaching the fence between Gaza and the 1948 land.
