JERUSALEM, Israeli police broke this afternoon into the home of assassinated Al-Jazeera correspondent Shireen Abu Akleh in Beit Hanina neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem as people gather there to pay respect for and be with her family.
WAFA correspondent said the police demanded that the family removes Palestinian flags raised in the house and stop playing nationalist music.
Hundreds of people have been gathering at Abu Akleh’s home since news of her death broke this morning.
Abu Akleh was killed by Israeli soldiers while covering an army assault on Jenin refugee camp in the north of the West Bank.
