Israeli soldiers close checkpoints, bypass roads near Nablus

NABLUS, Israeli forces Sunday evening closed the military checkpoints of Zaatara and Huwara as well as several bypass roads to the south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to security sources.

The sources said that the soldiers closed the military checkpoints and prevented Palestinians from passing through them, before closing bypass roads leading to a number of villages in the area.

Israeli settlers gathered near the aforementioned checkpoints and on the road linking Huwara town and the city of Qalqilya and stoned Palestinian vehicles.
