Kuwait approves $2.5 million contribution for Gaza reconstruction, says official

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, Minister of Housing and Public Works Mufid Hasayneh said Tuesday that Kuwait has approved a donation of $2.5 million from the Kuwait Arab Economic Development Fund to help reconstruct Gaza infrastructure.

Hasayneh thanked Kuwait for its contribution, which he said aims to bring Gaza back to what it was on before the 2014 Israeli aggression.

He said efforts are continuing with other Arab countries to get more financial aid to meet the needs for Gaza reconstruction.

The Kuwaiti fund will go toward rehabilitating damaged roads throughout the Gaza Strip.
