RAMALLAH, Latest data compiled in one week showed a sharp decline in the number of new coronavirus cases in Palestine, according to a Ministry of Health report published today.

It said 87 new cases were recorded in the West Bank and 172 new cases in the Gaza Strip following 3724 tests conducted in the period from August 28 until September 4.

Two people have also died of coronavirus in the Gaza Strip during the week, it said, adding that 2483 patients have recovered from the disease in the Gaza Strip and 184 in the West Bank.

Meanwhile, nine coronavirus patients remain in hospital, four in intensive care and two attached to ventilators.
