Doha, October 07 (QNA) – Under the patronage of HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the three-day ninth edition of internal security exhibition (Milipol Qatar 2012) will begin tomorrow at Doha Exhibition Centre.
The opening ceremony will be attended by a number interior ministers and undersecretaries from brotherly and friendly countries as well as a large number of specialists and those interested in the field of internal security.
The ceremony will also be attended by representatives and delegates of news agencies and local media and global to cover events of Milipol which its current session is experiencing an unprecedented attendance by major international and local companies interested in the field of internal security.
At this edition Milipol has attracted 265 companies from 38 countries around the world with the reserved area covering 5623 square meters with a 24 per cent increase of 24 percent compared to Milipol Qatar 2010. Eleven countries will take part for the first time namely: The Kingdom of Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan and South Korea.
What new in this exhibition is the gathering of a large number of combines that resulted in the emergence of four new pavilions for Brazil, Jordan, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, in addition to the major pavilions of the United States, Canada, Germany, Germany, Switzerland Austria, the Czech Republic and France.
The Milipol Qatar 2012 is viewed as one of the most important international specialized security exhibitions since Milipol’s first session in 1996, which provides an ideal opportunity for acquaintance with what is new in the field of security technology, and meets the growing security needs of Qatar, GCC, Arab and regional countries. This encouraged international companies to participate actively to display and market the latest productions of equipment and technological devices.
The data and statistics about the ninth session of the Milipol Qatar confirms the success of the exhibition, and this is reflected in the increasing number of exhibitors and the reserved space that exceeded spaces reserved in all previous exhibitions. This session is particularly important as it is being held in a stage in which the State of Qatar is witnessing an unprecedented boom in all fields, thanks to rational policies and the ambitious development plans, which provided an appropriate environment to attract investors and rendered Qatar a key market attracting investments, and the implementation giant economic, investment and construction projects such as the new port, Railway Qatar (Rail) projects and others.
Milipol Qatar, a trade exhibition dedicated to internal State security, has been organized by the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar since 1996.
