WAM DUBAI: Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum today attended the 120 km race of the Emirates Endurance Championship at the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al-Wathba.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, deputy ruler of Dubai and UAE minister of finance, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also attended the race.

The race is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, President of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club and receives support from the Sheik Mansour Global Arabian Flat Racing Festival. The event is sponsored by Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi Tourism ‘&’ Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) and others.

A total of 260 male and female riders representing all stables across the country took part in the competition which has a purse of AED 500000.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Nahyan , riding Balik Al Tornado from Warsan Stables, won the 120KM race.
