More than a dozen people killed in over 1000 road accidents in West Bank last month – police

RAMALLAH, Thirteen people were killed and 913 were injured in 1118 road accidents in the West Bank last month, a police report said today.

It said of the injuries, 12 were considered critical, 60 moderate and the rest minor.

Police statistics did not specify the main causes of accidents and deaths, but explained that after conducting safety road tests on 50791 vehicles last month, 1232 vehicles were deemed not suitable to be on the road.

Police also issued 22192 tickets to drivers and impounded 645 vehicles to check their legal validity. Police also destroyed 650 illegal vehicles.
