New Covid-19 cases in Palestine remain low with 258 cases recorded in one week

RAMALLAH, The number of new Covid-19 cases in Palestine remained low as only 258 new cases were recorded in the week between April 10 and 17, today said the Ministry of Health.

It said that while no deaths were recorded, only 14 Covid-19 patients remain in hospital, two are in intensive care and two are on ventilators.

According to the ministry’s data, 80 new cases and 91 recoveries were recorded in the West Bank, 120 new cases and 160 recoveries were reported in East Jerusalem, and 58 new cases and 195 recoveries were confirmed in the Gaza Strip during the week.

It said only 0.1 percent of the overall Covid-19 cases recorded in Palestine since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020 are still active, while 99 percent have recovered and 0.9 percent of the cases have died.
