RAMALLAH, Nine people have died in Palestine in the last 24 hours after contracting the coronavirus disease as 946 new cases were confirmed and 1546 patients have recovered, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.

She said in her daily report on the pandemic in Palestine that seven of the deaths, 728 of the new cases and 1005 of the recoveries were in the Gaza Strip while two deaths, 218 new cases and 541 recoveries were in the West Bank.

Alkaila said 172 patients are getting treatment for the coronavirus in hospitals and 81 are in intensive care while 18 patients are on ventilators.

She said 1,164,783 people received a second dose or one dose of the Sputnik Light of the corona vaccine in Palestine while 2565 people have received a third dose, all of them in the West Bank.
