RAMALLAH, The Israeli occupation forces briefly detained staff of the Palestine TV today near the village of Dayr Qadis, to the west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
Soldiers stopped a vehicle for Palestine TV as the latter was preparing a report about Israel’s ongoing construction of a settler-only road in the area. The soldiers also retained the ID cards of the TV staff before returning them and allowing the staff to go.
Last week, the Israeli occupation authorities blocked Palestine TV from working in the occupied capital Jerusalem, citing an order from the Israeli Minister of Public Security.
Palestine TV is the official mouthpiece of the Palestinian Government and is run by the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation (PBC).
