The 11th edition of Oman Forum 2023 held here today discussed enabling the transition towards sustainability and knowledge.
The event, organized by “Alam Al Iktisaad Wal A’mal” journal, was participated by several public, private and academic establishments.
The forum included several working papers and discussion panels on the strategic measures and policies taken by the Sultanate of Oman to address economic challenges and align national priorities. The panels also touched on the importance of shifting to an innovation-based economy in order to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable development, empower the private sector, and develop a conducive environment for entrepreneurship.The opening ceremony of the forum was held under the auspices of Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.
The event was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. It aimed to enhance the competitiveness of Oman to integrate with the global economy in a bid to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable development.
On the sidelines of the forum, several unique initiatives in the field of sustainability in social, economic and environmental spheres were felicitated. These initiatives contribute to spreading and implementing the concept of sustainability.
