HEBRON, A Palestinian sustained a gunshot injury and others suffocated today in confrontations with Israeli soldiers in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that confrontations broke out when Israeli soldiers manning the checkpoint at the entrance of al-Shuhada Street and heavily deployed in al-Shalala area opened fire towards Palestinians there, hitting one with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the foot.

Dozens others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

The casualty was rushed to a hospital for treatment, while all suffocation cases were treated at the scene.
