RAMALLAH, Palestine recorded 355 new Covid-19 cases and four deaths, according to Health Minister Mai al-Kaileh.
She announced that 355 Palestinians tested positive for the highly contagious virus and four others died of it in the occupied territories.
Among the new 355 cases, 83 cases were recorded in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and 272 others in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Al-Kaileh identified the deaths as three deaths from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and another from the besieged Gaza Strip.
She added that 661 Covid-19 patients recovered; 181 recovery cases in the West Bank, including Jerusalem district, and 480 others in the Gaza Strip.
She pointed that 46 Covid-19 patients are getting treatment in intensive care units, including 10 who are connected to ventilators, while 91 others are currently hospitalized across the West Bank.
The recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 97.7 percent since the pandemic outbreak in March 2020, while the active cases declined to 1.2 percent. Deaths stood at 1.1 percent of total infections.
