Palestine records two COVID-19 deaths, 291 new cases

RAMALLAH, Palestine today recorded 291 new Covid-19 cases, two fatalities, and 374 recovery cases in the last 24 hours, said Health Minister Mai Alkaila in her daily report on the disease.

Among the new 291 cases, 181 cases were recorded in the West Bank, and 110 others in the Gaza Strip.

She added that 374 Covid-19 patients have recovered; 224 recovery cases in the West Bank and 150 others in the Gaza Strip.

She said that two deaths were recorded in the West Bank districts of Hebron and Jenin.

The recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 98.1 percent, while active cases reached 0.9% percent. The death toll stood at 1 percent of total infections.

Alkaila said 54 corona patients are in intensive care units, including 14 on ventilators.
