RAMALLAH, Palestine recorded five deaths for patients who contracted the coronavirus disease in the last 24 hours while 257 new cases were confirmed.

The daily coronavirus report by the Minister of Health said three deaths, 106 new cases, and 100 recoveries were confirmed in the Gaza Strip, while two deaths, 151 new cases, and 94 recoveries were reported in the West Bank.

At the same time, 70 coronavirus patients are getting treatment in hospitals, 38 are in intensive care and eight are on ventilators.

Over 1.4 million people have received two shots of the coronavirus vaccine so far while over 122,000 received the booster shot.
