RAMALLAH, April 7 (NNN-Petra)– Advisor to Palestinian president for diplomatic affairs and international relations, Nabil Shaath praised Jordan’s efforts under the leadership of King Abdullah II, to support the Palestinian issue.

Shaath said that the recent Arab summit in Jordan highlighted the importance of the Palestinian issue, pointing to the Arab consensus to push the peace process forward to achieve the rights of the Palestinian people.

In a statement to Petra’s correspondent in Ramallah, he said that His Majesty the King, who arranged a trilateral meeting that was attended by Egyptian President Abdul Fatah El-sisi as well as Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, gave a momentum to the Palestinian issue through reaching a common vision on the solution to the Palestinian issue.

Shaath added that the King’s meeting with the US president is a result of the success of the recent Arab summit which was hosted by Jordan.

He also praised the continued support provided by Jordan to the Palestinians at all levels.
