Palestinian figures sign letter urging US congressmen to assume their responsibilities towards injustice inflicted on Palestinians

RAMALLAH, Several Palestinian figures signed today a letter addressed to members of the US Congress, urging them to assume their responsibilities towards the injustice and persecution inflicted on the Palestinian people.

During a virtual meeting with over 100 personalities from the United States, the Palestinian figures called on the US congressmen to accept the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) as a partner of peace and not a terrorist organization, to reopen its consulate in East Jerusalem and the Palestinian embassy in Washington, to pressure Israel to stop its violations and practices against the Palestinian people, and to recognize the West Bank, including East Jerusalem as occupied land, and for the annulment of all measures taken against Jerusalem by the previous Trump administration.

The American figures voiced their support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate struggle to gain freedom and independence, calling on the Joe Biden administration to take the necessary decisions to implement his electoral promises, particularly the opening of the US Consulate in Jerusalem and the cessation of Israeli violations in Jerusalem.

They unanimously emphasized the importance of taking action in the US arena and delivering the Palestinian narrative which is based on the truth, unlike the misleading Zionist narrative.
