Palestinian injured by Israeli gunfire north of Ramallah

RAMALLAH, A Palestinian young man was injured by Israeli gunfire on Friday night outside the village of Sinjil, to the north of Ramallah city in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Soldiers reportedly opened gunfire at  Saher Fuqaha, 22, a Palestinian from Sinjil village, injuring him with multiple shots in the pelvis and thigh bones.

Fuqaha was rushed to the Istishari Hospital in Ramallah where he underwent two surgeries, according to his family.

Nizar Fuqaha, Saher’s uncle, told reporters that Israeli soldiers opened gunfire at his nephew after he got out of a car he was in outside the village, injuring him with at least three live bullets.

He said the soldier briefly detained Saher after shooting and injuring him before they let him go.
