Palestinian National Council to convene in January

AMMAN, The 28th meeting of the Palestinian National Council is going to convene in Ramallah on January 14-15 2018, to be themed Jerusalem, the eternal capital of Palestine, according to the Speaker of the PNC, Salim Zanoun.

Zanoun told Voice of Palestine the meeting will be of utmost importance especially in the aftermath of US President Donald Trump’s recent decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

He said PNC’s meeting will undergo a comprehensive review of the past political phase, and will look forward to establish a national action strategy to fend off the challenges facing the Palestinian national project.

Zanoun added that he will send official invitations to all members of the Palestinian Central Council, including members of Hamas movement, as well as Islamic Jihad movement to participate in PNC’s 28th meeting.
