JENIN, Palestinian prisoner in Israeli jails Ahraf Abdul-Khaleq Hanaysheh, 14, entered today his 14th year in Israeli occupation’s prisons, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
Hanaysheh, who comes from the West Bank town of Arraba, was arrested in August 18, 2006, and was sentenced to life in prison for resisting the Israeli occupation.
Hanaysheh was placed in solitary confinement for many years and denied family visitation at times.
There are some 6,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails serving varying sentences for resisting the Israeli occupation of their homeland.
