TULKAREM, Dozens of Palestinian students from the Palestine Technical University (Kadoorie) suffocated today as Israeli forces attacked a nearby rally commemorating the 74th anniversary of the 1948 Nakba.
WAFA correspondent said Israeli forces heavily fired tear gas canisters inside the university campus during clashes that broke out near the university, causing dozens of students to suffocate due to tear gas inhalation. They were all treated at the scene.
Observed on May 15 annually, Nakba Day marks the 1948 forced expulsion of nearly 700,000 Palestinians from their homes in historical Palestine.
