Palestinian young man injured in an Israeli raid of al-Isawiya

JERUSALEM, A Palestinian young man sustained injuries from rubber-coated rounds fired at him on Friday evening during an Israeli raid of al-Isawiya neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, according to local sources.

WAFA correspondent said Israeli police officers fired rubber-coated rounds and teargas canisters at local Palestinian residents during the raid, injuring a Palestinian young man in his arm.

Clashes also erupted when Israeli police stormed the neighborhood of Jabal al-Mukkabir in the city. Police officers reportedly physically assaulted and beat up a Palestinian while he was inside his vehicle, causing him bruises.

In Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, Israeli police attacked Palestinians taking part in a nonviolent event protesting Israel’s scheduled expulsion of the Salem family home in the neighborhood for the benefit of Israeli settler organizations.
