RAMALLAH, President Mahmoud Abbas Monday expressed his solidarity with India over the deadly wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
In a telegram to his Indian counterpart Ram Nath Kovind, President Abbas extended his “sincere regards” and expressed his “full solidarity, and that of our people, in the harsh health conditions that the friendly India is going through, as a result of the significant increase in the number of COVID-19 cases among your people.”
“We are confident in your wisdom to lead your country and your people towards overcoming this ordeal and reaching the safety and security of the friendly Indian people,” he added.
He concluded the telegram by expressing his sincere wishes for the “health, safety and prosperity” for Kovind as well as the Indian people.
