RAMALLAH, President Mahmoud Abbas is following with great interest and concern the unprecedented crackdown by the Israeli occupation authorities on the Palestinian freedom fighters in the Israeli prisons, today said Presidential Spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh.
“The President affirms that this issue is at the top of our priorities and that we will not allow our heroes to be dealt with in this inhuman way,” he said in a statement.
The President instructed Palestine’s ambassadors around the world, particularly in international organizations, to launch a wide range campaign to expose the crimes committed against the freedom fighters, which is in contradiction with the most basic human rights and all international laws, said Abu Rudeineh.
“The President stressed that the prisoners are freedom fighters, that our Palestinian people and their leadership are united around them and their just cause, and that we will stand behind them until they achieve their freedom and the freedom of our people to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital,” said the Presidential Spokesman.
