President Abbas receives Israeli delegation of “Breaking the Silence”

RAMALLAH, Thursday, President Mahmoud Abbas received on Thursday at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah a delegation of 30 Israeli economists from Breaking the Silence, an Israeli left group and NGO, headed by Shmuel Metar.

During the meeting, President Abbas reaffirmed the commitment of the Palestinian leadership to achieve a two-state solution leading to the founding of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital on the borders of June 4, 1967.

On the other side, Metar told the President that they and the majority of the Israeli people are committed to achieving peace based on a two-state solution.

Attending the meeting were Member of the Executive Committee of the PLO, Ziad Abu Amr, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Information Nabil Abu Rudeinah, and Member of Fatah Central Committee Mohammad Al-Madani.
