President Abbas sends letter to Pakistani Prime Minister

RAMALLAH, President Mahmoud Abbas sent a letter to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, which was delivered by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad al-Malki.

Malki conveyed president Abbas’ greetings and great appreciation for Pakistan and the pioneering role it plays in serving the Islamic world.

This came during a meeting with the Pakistani PM held on the margins of the 48th ministerial session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.

Malki thanked the Pakistani prime minister for his country’s historical and principled position in support of the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to self-determination.

He further thanked Pakistan for its political and economic support, as well as for its support in other areas, including university academic education.

The two sides agreed to pursue cooperation in all aspects related to the Palestinian cause.
