President Mahmoud Abbas today called the four twins from the Zaqzouq family whose mother died as a result of last year’s Israeli attacks on Gaza, congratulating them on passing the high school tawjihi exams with high grades and informing them that their university education will be covered by his office.
The four, three boys and one girl, scored high in the exams, whose results were published on Saturday, with the girl and one boy each scoring a grade of over 93 percent, while the other two boys scored in the low 80s and high 70s.
Over 85,000 students in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip sat for the exams this year with a success rate at over 68 percent.
