President Abbas to head to Kuwait for official visit

RAMALLAH, Sunday, President Mahmoud Abbas is scheduled to head to Kuwait on Monday for an official two-day visit, during which he will meet with the Emir of Kuwait, Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and other Kuwaiti officials, said Palestinian ambassador to Kuwait, Rami Tahboub.

He said President Abbas will brief the Emir of Kuwait on the latest political developments in Palestine, including the continuing Israeli violations against the people of Palestine.

The President is also expected to meet with the Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, Marzouq Al-Ghanim, Prime Minister Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sabah Khalid Al-Sabah, and other influential political and media figures in Kuwait.

Abbas is also scheduled to take part in the opening ceremony of a military hospital in Kuwait city.
