Producer price index down in October, says statistics bureau

RAMALLAH, – The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine decreased in October by 0.58 percent compared to September, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Tuesday.

PPI decreased for locally consumed products by 0.65 percent and for local exported products by 0.04 percent compared to September.

The following table gives change in October prices of major activities compared to the previous month:

Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply -3.84%

Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities – 1.61%

Agriculture, forestry and fishing goods -0.30%

Manufacturing – 0.13%

Mining and quarrying + 0.85%
