Paris, October 07 (QNA) – A tallion owned by HE Sheikh Mohamed Bin Khalifa al Thani, adviser to HH the Emir, ranked first at the end of Qatar’s equestrian festival held in Paris.
Mukhifa won the seventh 2000 meter race for thoroughbred Arabian horses, 4 year old and above, sponsored by Qatar Petroleum, to grab a 700,000 euro prize and the Qatar world cup for Arabian horses.
The cup was presented to HE Sheikh Mohamed Bin Khalifa al Thani by HE Sheikh Abdullah Bin Khalifa Al Thani, special adviser to HH the Emir.
The second and third positions were snatched by Rato One, owner HE Sheikh Mohamed Bin Khalifa al Thani and Tabark, owner HE Sheikh Abullah Bin Khalifa Al Thani.
A mare owned by HE Sheikh Tamim Bin Juan Bin Hamad Al Thani came first in the fourth 1400 meter race for John Lock La Gardier award for 2 year old mares earning a prize of 350,000 euros. (QNA)
